Yes but they were stopped after only 4 songs. IMAGINE if they had played for two hours. What would they have played.
Well we have imagined and put together this show for the 2023 Kitchener Blues Festival. It was a major hit of the festival.
It features the amazing The Weber Brothers (Ryan with his Hofner Beatle bass) Terry Blersh (a rabid Beatles fan who saw them live at Maple Leaf Gardens TWICE), Matt Weidinger (who drags a Fender Rhodes to the gig, just because …. Marcus Browne (who lays down the Ringo vibe) and musical director Lance Anderson (equally rabid Beatles fan since Feb 1964.)
So we play the entire ‘Let It Be’ album, then play some of the early rock n roll that they fooled around with in the Peter Jackson movie GET BACK. Then in the 2nd set we play some of our favourites and ones they may have got to, given the chance if the Bobbies had relaxed and understood the importance of what was happening. (Their last live performance).
It’s an incredible night of music from three of the best songwriters of the 20th century. 30 songs in two 50 min sets.
