Make it Real Records is a label formed by producer Lance Anderson. Our aim is to put the emphasis on recording great artists and great performances. By using the advancements in recording technology to serve the music rather than the other way around.
We will continue to create dramatic and even historic events to record. REAL music in REAL time by REAL players. What a simple yet elegant concept.
These recordings were done without overdubs, in the same room, with the players reacting to each other, free to trade their ideas. Yes, you have to be good to pull this off. And yes these tracks are not perfect. But what we lose in control we more than gain in capturing the spontaneous joy that is truly making music .
