Doug is Canada's premiere, first call keyboard player, arranger and composer. He has extensive recording and producing credits. He produced and played on Bob Seger's 'Night Moves', launching Bob's comeback. He has arranged and played organ for Ray Charles. As a composer he is best known or his work with ' Dr Music' his self- named band of the sixties and seventies. He has arranged and performed on Anne Murray recordings and has served as session pianist on recordings too numerous to list over the years. He is as at home in straight ahead Jazz playing as he is with theatre music, Stride piano or soul organ. He is the consumate musician, a legend in the Toronto music scene.
Bill is one of the founding members of Little Feat. He is one of the most sought after session keyboard players in the world. As comfortable on the organ as at the piano, Bill brings his unique voice to the project. Bill has created a style of piano playing with Little Feat that draws on many traditions. Part N'Orleans R&B, part stride with some gospel, soul, jazz and Blues thrown in. This knowledge of an instruments tradition is also evident in his B3 playing. Some of Bill's credits include: Bryan Adams, Beck, Jackson Browne, Doobie Brothers, Buddie Guy, Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Robert Palmer, Bob Seger, Rod Stewart, Carly Simon, Paul Simon and James Taylor
Currently playing with Canada's premiere Blues acts The Downchild Blues Band , Michael started in the early days of the rock revolution. He was a founding member of the late sixties super group 'Rhinocerous'. Their first hit 'Apricot Brandy' is featured on 2B3. He has played on hundreds of recording sessions in Canada and the US and has played with artists as varied as Lou Reed and Solomon Burke. He was also a member or 'The Lincolns', Toronto's top R&B act of the '80's.Michael is known for his powerful and wailing style. He brings an enormous ammount of passion and drive to any recording. The man wails!
Denis has been active in numerous areas of music over the years both in Canada and abroad. As a studio musician he has over a hundred albums to his credit, as well as numerous film and TV projects; including last years Celtic Electric and the Rankins Christmas Caberet for CBC /Salter Street Prod.
Recent CD's include Natalie McMaster, Jeff Healy, Prairie Oyster, Rita Coolidge with Ry Cooder, The Boomers, Eddie Shwartz, Jesse Cook, Stompin' Tom Connors, The Lincolns, The Extras, King Biscuit Boy, The Stampeders, Gordie Sampson, Etta James and TV and live appearances with The Rankins, Colin James, Jann Arden, Amy Sky, Ashley McIsaac, Bruce Guthro, Crowbar and many others.
As an instrumentalist, he plays Hammond organ, piano, all keyboards (including his selection of vintage keys which include a Vox continental and Mellotron among numerous B3's.) accordion, Guitar, Bass, Mandolin and Mandola.At present he is finishing the first CD of the Denis Keldie Trio, a classic 'retro' jazz organ trio project which will follow on the heels of the much anticipated 2B3 CD.
Rob is a versatile artist who has been active in the Toronto music scene for over twenty-five years. He specializes in, and is a fan of the Hammond B3. He has indept knowledge of the history of the instrument and has gathered a wealth of knowledge about the workings of it, as well. He was a member of the Arrows, The Domenic Troiano Band, the Prima Donnas and can currently be found playing organ with the Men From Uncle and the Sisters Euclid with Kevin Breit.
Canadian piano/organ player Richard Bell was a member of Ronnie Hawkins' Hawks in the late '60s, and also played in Janis Joplin's Full Tilt Boogie Band. He took over the piano chair in The Band in 1991, after the death of Stan Szelest, and has been a permanent member of the Band since then. Bell can be heard on the Band albums from the '90s, Jericho, where he wrote the songs The Caves of Jericho, High on the Hog, and Jubilation. He was also a writer on the lovely song, Out of the Wilderness from Colin Linden's Through the Storm Through the Night album. Richard Bell has played with many other artists, including Bruce Cockburn, John Sebastian, Bonnie Rait, and Paul Butterfield. When not playing with the Band, he also plays in a group with Colin Linden.
Ottawa-born producer, Lance Anderson is an active composer/arranger in boh TV and film. He is a classically trained musician who has also played in the Blues and R&B scene in Toronto for the past twenty years. His recent production credits include the Oscar Peterson Multimedia CD ROM and the multi Juno award winning and Platinum CD Leahy. Lance has played with acts as diverse as Mr. Dress-up, George Oliver, Maureen Brown and Big Hand and new age flute virtuoso Ron Korb. He recently appeared as a piano player and writer on Scott Cusnie's Two Pianos No Waiting Vol 2. He has just finished a new theme for Sesame Park Snippets and wrote the music for The New World Wine Tour and Guess What? CBC TV.
An original member of Little Feat, Richie is the heart and soul of the famous 'Feat' groove. He is an original - a stylist: and has created a signature feel that is uniquely his own. A drummer of enormous energy and enthusiasm, he powers the tracks and sets the groove for each tune. In Little Feat since 1969, Richie has found time between tours to record with some of the world's finest artists. They include: Joan Armatrading, Eric Clapton, Ry Cooder, James Cotton, Buddy Guy, Robert Plant, Bob Seger, Tom Waits and Warren Zevon.
